About this project

Print Collection is an online store specializing in museum-quality prints and photographs. As the sole designer on this project, I worked with the client and a front-end developer to modify and craft a Shopify template to meet both the business needs of the company and to make sure that the user experience was easy and engaging. Taking a nod from other eCommerce sites, we added the following UI patterns to Shopify’s feature set (at the time):

• a mega-dropdown for scanability of the sites content
• a feature slider used to promote seasonal and popular promotions
• extended the secondary navigation functionality
• an affinity band of company logos that have featured Print Collection to showcase the reach and quality of the products
• New Prints and Best Seller carousels to promote products and ensure continued freshness of the homepage content
• a dynamically configured product page to accommodate the many variations in print sizes (e.g. long vertical, long horizontal, standard poster)
